Over the past nine years the committee consisted of only 7
or 8
of us, but this year we've been joined by several new
and enthusiastic people from throughout our community and we look forward to
an even better event.
The 2008 parade will be our tenth Year of putting on this event. The parade had been an annual tradition for as long as any of us could remember and when we noticed one year that the parade was missing we decided to do something about it.
We have grown to include over 1500 participants and many thousands of spectators and everyone tells us what a great time they had.
We hope you will join us in celebrating Canada's Birthday. Whether you enter in our parade or watch from the street, we hope you enjoy your day with us.
Last
year we became the Celebrate North Shore Society, a registered
non-profit society. We rely on the generous support of our local
municipalities and businesses and the donation of goods or services from our many
supporters, and of course our volunteers.
Our reward is seeing the streets overflowing with people both watching
and participating, and the smiles we have brought to their faces.
We invite you join our celebration and join in the fun!
NEW PARTICIPANTS AND VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME.
